Course in Contemporary Arabic Literature: Texts and Contexts

This specialization course, taught entirely in Modern Standard Arabic (fusha), will explore the main authors, works, genres, and movements of contemporary Arabic literature from a critical, feminist, and anti-colonial perspective. The teaching methodology will combine lectures with readings, discussions, and oral presentations centered on key texts. The course is aimed at people from around the world with an advanced level of Arabic who have a genuine interest in contemporary Arabic literature.
