- Circulab Laboratory, UAB Cerdanyola Campus household waste and recycling centre
Wednesday:
On 3 April at 12 noon, the heads of the institutions and entities participating in the Territorial Specialisation and Competitiveness Project (PECT) 'HubB30: Beyond Circularity', Circular B30, will present the results of their project in the new UAB laboratory, Circulab, created under the same project's framework.
Circular B30 was launched in 2021 to advance in the strategy of a circular economy and Zero Waste in the Mollet - Cerdanyola del Vallès axis, led by the city councils of both municipalities, the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), Esade through the Esade Entrepreneurship Institute and the Esade Center for Social Impact, the Parc de Recerca UAB and the EURECAT technology centre.
These three years have allowed to create the basis of a shared agenda among all participants in the B30 area, to provide solutions and promote entrepreneurial projects to move towards a more sustainable future, as well as the creation of different instruments to achieve this goal, such as the creation of a network of open laboratories to promote collaborative projects between universities and research centres, administrations, companies and citizens.
Speakers at the event will include:
Carlos Cordón, mayor of Cerdanyola del Vallès
Mireia Dionisio, mayoress of Mollet del Vallès
Javier Lafuente, rector of the UAB
Xavier López, general corporate and operations director of Eurecat
Joan Rodon Modol, dean of the Esade Business School
