Memory potentiation and recovery in healthy and brain-damaged rats

To study the effectivenes of several treatments (reinforcing intracranial brain stimulation, compounds capable of causing epigenetic modifications or acting on brain neurochemical systems, caloric restriction and physical exercise) to prevent and reduce cognitive deficiencies, mainly in the memory domain, associated to natural processes (aging) or to neurodegenerative disorders and acquired brain damage, as well as to explain some of the underlying neurobiological mechanisms.
