On 26 March 2026, from 12:30 to 13:30, the Espai Emprèn UAB (above the bar at Plaça Cívica) will host a The Entrepreneurs’ Corner session focused on Clau Mestra, a project promoted by Sostre Cívic that has refurbished the former Teachers’ Houses in La Floresta to create affordable cooperative housing.

Emprèn UAB organitza una nova trobada d’El Racó de l’Emprenedor, el cicle que convida persones emprenedores i iniciatives transformadores a compartir la seva experiència i a obrir un espai de conversa i networking amb les persones assistents.

Emprèn UAB is organising a new The Entrepreneurs’ Corner event, a series that invites entrepreneurs and transformative initiatives to share first-hand experience and to open up a space for conversation and networking with attendees.

The session will focus on Clau Mestra, a cooperative housing project promoted by Sostre Cívic that has repurposed a disused public building into 11 sustainable cooperative homes, with shared spaces and a collective participation model.

The activity will address how the initiative emerged from neighbourhood mobilisation for the right to housing, how the refurbishment was carried out using bio-construction and assisted self-build approaches, and the key lessons and challenges involved as an alternative to the conventional housing market.

The session, led by people linked to Clau Mestra, is part of the Social and Collaborative Entrepreneurship Course, but is open to the entire university community

Free registration via NEXUS

This activity is part of the Projecta't initiative, which allows students to earn ECTS credits.
