Rituals Inventory
This Inventory of Rituals, linked to the AHCISP Research Group at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the UAB, is a contribution to open science aimed at documenting and disseminating rituals from around the world. It is the result of a broader research project devoted to the study of rituality and symbolism from the perspective of social and cultural anthropology.
The study of ritual activity, carried out by Professors Virginia Fons and Montserrat Ventura, helps to make available a wide range of ritual examples analysed through an innovative methodological approach. This methodology offers an original perspective by proposing a processual reading of rituals that goes beyond purely descriptive approaches, adding further complexity and deepening the understanding of their symbolic, social and cultural dimensions.
