UAB at the 7th Congress of the International Society for Hispanic Digital Humanities

From 22 to 24 October 2025, Valencia hosted the 7th Congress of the International Society for Hispanic Digital Humanities, where several UAB researchers presented innovative projects in the field of digital humanities, covering topics such as literature from the Spanish Republican exile, the digital edition of Golden Age theatre, and cultural heritage preservation.

Several UAB researchers participated in the congress, presenting papers on very interesting projects:

  • GEXEL Digital: New Approaches to the Literature of the Spanish Republican Exile of 1939, by Lucía Cotarelo
  • A Sustainable Strategy for the Digital Critical Edition of Golden Age Theatre: the Case of PROLOPE, by Anna Abate, Emanuele Leboffe, David Merino Recalde
  • From Atoms to Waves: Rhythmic Stylometry for Studying Authorship in Golden Age Theatre, by Álvaro Cuéllar
  • Design of the Sebastià Juan Arbó Digital Archive: Using the Non-relational Model for Constructing the Bibliographic Database, by Joan Antoni Forcadell, Joel Reverter Laínez

Also presented was the poster "Preservation and Digitisation: A 150-Year Journey through the Historical Archive of the Society of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona", by Ana Escañuela (Humanities Library).
