Poster for the course “Research in the Digital Space: A Proposal from Digital Humanities”, featuring an illustration of an interactive digital environment and the dates 26–30 October 2026.

This course, organised by Red HD, provides an introduction to the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations of research in digital environments from a Digital Humanities perspective. Over five sessions, participants will explore the epistemological foundations of the field, with particular attention to contributions developed in Latin America and the Global South, as well as methodologies such as digital ethnography and strategies for defining digital research objects.

The programme also includes a practical introduction to working with data — collection, organisation, cleaning and visualisation — using tools commonly employed in Digital Humanities projects.

The course is aimed at students, researchers, archive, library and museum professionals, and educators interested in incorporating digital methodologies into their academic or professional practice. No prior programming experience is required.

Dates: 26–30 October 2026

Time: 16:00–20:00 (GMT-6, Mexico time)
