The Autonomous University of Barcelona awards Professor Santiago Tejedor for his teaching excellence
Professor of Journalism Santiago Tejedor, Director of the Communication and Education Office and lecturer at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the latest edition of the UAB Teaching Excellence Awards, an institutional initiative that recognizes faculty members for their commitment to quality teaching, pedagogical innovation, and the continuous improvement of university teaching.
Tejedor's nomination was previously endorsed by the Faculty of Communication Sciences, which highlighted his teaching career and his commitment to innovative methodologies, the development of educational projects, and direct work with students to enhance the learning experience.
“This award is undoubtedly an invitation to continue working towards innovative, committed, and passionate teaching. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to showcase our work in other forums, such as the Jaume Vicenç Vives Awards,” explains Tejedor.

Santiago Tejedor is a full professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a leading figure in the fields of communication, digital journalism, and media literacy. His academic career is characterized by a solid background—with two doctorates—and continuous research activity spanning more than two decades. He has developed an extensive body of scholarly work, publishing numerous articles in indexed journals, many of them in high-impact publications, as well as books and book chapters, establishing a body of work recognized both nationally and internationally.
