The UAB presents the second continuous training offer for PDI and PTGAS
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has published the second continuous training offer of the year 2026, aimed at teaching and research staff (PDI) and technical, management and administration and services staff (PTGAS). The programming, available on the Training Portal, includes activities until September 15 and offers a total of 179 editions, of which 145 are for the PDI and 134 for the PTGAS. In this way, a broad and balanced proposal is configured that responds to the needs of both groups.
This year a relevant novelty is incorporated: certain training actions will be permanently published on the Training Portal and may be requested at any time. The first course available in this format is "The prevention of occupational risks at the UAB", and this catalogue is expected to grow throughout the year.
The offer includes a set of shared actions aimed at both the PDI and the PTGAS that reinforce transversal skills for the whole staff. These actions cover areas such as digital skills, occupational risk prevention and occupational health, the gender perspective, self-management skills and emotional intelligence.
In addition, the PDI has a specific offer with actions dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to teaching, the evaluation of learning, teaching skills, managerial skills, research, the FIDU program for reading teachers and training related to reception and academic affairs. On the other hand, PTGAS also has its own programming that includes, among others, training in libraries, languages, emotional intelligence and the relationship with others, self-management, managerial skills, academic affairs and administrative management.
With the aim of facilitating the participation of staff, this year's offer also includes actions scheduled in the afternoon.
The vice-rector for Education and Teaching Innovation, José Luís Mu'oz Moreno, stressed that "at the UAB, continuing education is a way of understanding and promoting the university. That is why we are a university that trains itself, with the conviction that the professional development of the PDI and the PTGAS is also the progress of the UAB itself”. According to the vice-rector, "when the staff expands their skills, the University is better prepared to respond to the challenges of its time."
The application period for the activities will be open from 8 to 19 April, and all detailed information on the contents, schedules and registrations can be consulted on the UAB Training Portal.
