Espace COMTEC
The COMTEC Centre space is part of the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives and is shared between the Faculty of Communication (COMTEC Project) and the Library Service.
COMTEC is located on the 2nd floor of the library and consists of a single open space with three different functions:
- Experimentation area
- Agora
- Creation-coworking area.
The space can be used during the opening hours of the library.
It has modular furniture and specific audiovisual equipment. For more information, see the equipment page.
Purposes
The use is for academic purposes and for library purposes in the context of teaching, research and transfer. There is room for teaching innovation, experimental activities, application of participatory techniques and design thinking, workshops, active learning, etc. aimed at the university, teaching and non-teaching community.

How to request the space
- Including the request in the teaching programming sheet (PDI).
- By requesting it directly from the SLIPI of the library.
- By sending an email to the pr.comtec.fcc@uab.cat address.
Indicating
- Person responsible and contact email.
- Day(s) and time slot.
- Subject/activity to which the request is related.
- Brief summary of what will be done (especially if it is the first time it is requested).
