Seminar Dr. Marco Antonio Ramírez Salinas

Tomorrow Thursday October 22nd by 10:30, Dr. Marco Antonio Ramírez Salinas, will give a research seminar (in Spanish) entitled  "Iniciativa Lagarto: RISC-V, Tecnología de Semiconductores, Soberanía y Colaboración".

Dr. Marco Antonio Ramírez Salinas got his BsC in in Communications and Electronics Engineering from the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica i Eléctrica (1995) and holds a Master in Computer Engineering from the Centro de Investigación en Informàtica (2002); both institutions belong to the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) of Mexico. He later obtained his PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in the field of Computer Architecture (2007). At the IPN, he has led multiple projects and initiatives from the laboratories, departments, and research centers he has directed. Marco Antonio is one of the fathers of the “Lagarto RISC-V” initiative, which he leads from Mexico in coordination with the BSC. Now, led by IMB-CNM (CSIC), they have initiated a formal collaboration that we hope will be consolidated and expanded within our UAB campus.

The session will be moderated by Lluís Terés, with the support of Raimon Casanovas and David Castells.
