Before the mobility

The SICUE programme is based on institutional trust, transparency, reciprocity, and flexibility.

• No language requirements apply.
• Admission requires an active agreement between the home and host programmes.

SICUE Exchange Application at the UAB for the AY 2026-2027

Students selected by their home universities for a SICUE exchange placement at the UAB for the 2026–2027 academic year must register and complete the online application in the Registration and Incoming Exchange Application (Incoming Students) section of the portal sia.uab.cat.

The deadline for completing this procedure is 30 May.

Once the application has been completed, students will receive their letter of acceptance at the email address provided during the application process within approximately 30 days, provided that their home university has already sent the list of selected students to the UAB.

The personal data submitted by students must match the information previously communicated to the UAB by their home university. Otherwise, the application will not be accepted. It is essential to enter all information accurately, as it will be used for the issuance of the acceptance letter and for validation within the system.

The following documents provide information on the course offerings available at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities by semester:

If SICUE students wish to enrol in a course that does not appear in the list, they must first contact intercanvis.lletres@uab.cat.

Students must access the course application platform and upload: 

• Health Card from their Autonomous Community.

Once the documentation has been uploaded, and provided that it is correct, the Exchange Office will validate it. The system will then allow students to select their courses through the same application during the following periods:

First semester

Upload documents: 15/06/2026 - 30/06/2026

Course selection: 01/07/2026 - 15/07/2026

Second semester

Upload documents: to be determined

Course selection: to be determined

Outside these periods, it will not be possible to upload documents or select courses.

Full-year students may select courses for both the first and second semesters at the same time.

If SICUE students wish to enroll in a course that does not appear in the list, they must first contact intercanvis.lletres@uab.cat.

According to UAB regulations, incoming exchange students may take up to 50% of their credits in other faculties, subject to availability and compliance with the established procedures.

Selection Periods

First Semester: 1st - 15th July 2026

Second Semester: to be determined

When choosing courses from their own faculty, students have also to select courses from other UAB faculties through the online platform.

Once courses are selected, the Exchange Office will automatically complete enrollment.

Students must then pay the mandatory insurance fee (€4.02) within 22 calendar days. To do so, students have the following instructions.
