Línies de Recerca
L'activitat de recerca del grup de recerca té com a objectiu principal estudiar el(s) mecanisme(s) responsable(s) de l'origen i manteniment de la integritat del genoma dels mamífers.
Aconseguim el nostre objectiu principal mitjançant un enfocament multidisciplinari, combinant anàlisi computacional i comparacions de genoma sencer amb tecnologies experimentals d'avantguarda tant en cèl·lules somàtiques com meiòtiques.
Més concretament, actualment el grup treballa en les següents línies de recerca:
- Investigar la conservació i la funcionalitat de l'organització d'alta estructura dels genomes dels mamífers, tant en la línia somàtica com en la germinal.
- Anàlisi de la via de senyalització que controla la progressió de la recombinació meiòtica en meiòcits de mamífers.
- Identificació del paper de la maquinària de resposta al dany de l'ADN en la reparació del "DSB" que es produeix durant la profase meiòtica.
- Estudiar com el mecanisme de resposta al dany de l'ADN controla el conjunt d'oòcits en mamífers.
- Identificació de gens no anotats en el genoma dels mamífers necessaris per completar la meiosi.
- Identificació de la base genètica de l'aïllament reproductiu i les barreres del flux genètic en poblacions naturals de mamífers.
- Desenvolupament d'un dipòsit de línies cel·lulars d'espècies de mamífers en perill d'extinció.
- Implementació d'eines bioinformàtiques integradores i informàtiques per a l'anàlisi de la conservació i funció dels genomes de vertebrats.
- Estudiar l'impacte de la COVID-19 en la fertilitat.
