Are you interested in combining business management with technical knowledge? The bachelors' degree in Business and Technology, taught on the Sabadell campus, provides you with up-to-date training that brings together information, management and innovation systems and economics.
We combine lectures with group work, problem-based learning and work placements with state-of-the-art software (from SAP to open source software), which will prepare you to work in the top companies.
In the final stage of your bachelor's degree you can apply for work placements that include study grants in many leading companies such as Accenture, BDO, Deloitte, NTT DATA, Ricoh and SEIDOR. It is also a dual degree: you can complete the 4th year in a company with a paid internship contract.
This is a pioneering degree in our country, offered since 2010. Several prestigious universities from around the world have similar programmes, such as New York, Minnesota, Maryland and California (USA), Manchester, Lancaster and Glasgow (UK), Mannheim, Humboldt and Munich (Germany), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), and KU Leuven (Belgium).
Career options
In a world in which few business processes are conducted without digital support, graduates in Business and Information Technology are prepared to work in any department (purchasing, production, logistics, quality, administration, accounting, auditing, finance, human resources, sales, marketing, etc.) of any type of organisation in tasks related to the design, development and overall management of information systems. These tasks can be completed within the company or as part of an external consultancy.
The profile of graduates also prepares them to participate in (and even direct) aspects related to project management, process management, implementation and management of large management systems (ERP, CRM, SCM, etc.) and the management of information(business intelligence and business analytics).
Moreover, training in the internet sector provides graduates with abilities in designing new internet-based business models with the aim of generating innovation both within the company and in the creation of digital-based companies.
It also equips its graduates to work as economists or in a variety of posts in Public Administration (local, regional, national and European Union), as well as in other public bodies (hospitals, publicly-owned companies, etc.).
