His areas of expertise include sports psychology and in particular, the role of agents and social entourage in supporting athletes at initiation ages and alongside their sport career. He has participated in various research projects at national and international level, supervised 8 doctoral theses, promoted collaboration agreements with sports entities and has published more than 50 articles in the main academic journals in the field of sports. Currently, he is leading the Thematic Network on Healthy Dual Career HEDUCA(R) and co-directs the R+D project HENAC – Healthy Entourage along the Sport Career (PID2022-138242OB-I00).

He has supervised 19 doctoral theses in psychology and sports science. He has published more than 100 articles in indexed journals and more than 20 books and chapters. Currently he codirects the R+D Project HENAC - Healthy Environment throughout Athletic Careers (PID2022-138242OB-I00).
