The implementation and management of projects linked to innovation and the transfer of knowledge and technology requires capabilities and skills that can be difficult to achieve for small and medium-sized enterprises and/or staff who have never participated in initiatives of this type. The Catalan agri-food sector, in addition to being no stranger to this challenge, has not traditionally been one of the most cutting-edge areas in terms of innovation, despite being a key economic activity central to the country's economy. It is for this reason that this micro-credential seeks to provide a solution to this challenge through direct and practical training on the main elements involved in the implementation of an innovation project, applied to the agri-food sector, once the logic, theme and scope of the project have been defined.
Thus, this micro-credential, coordinated by the UAB's Faculty of Economics and Business, in conceptual collaboration with the UAB's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, focuses on the definition and execution of budgets and financing for innovation projects, operational management issues for these projects, intellectual and industrial property protection elements, and monitoring and evaluation strategies to determine impact, among other topics. In addition, the micro-credential will emphasise how to use these innovative projects to raise the profile of the company's activity, also analysing established success stories to provide benchmarks for good practice.
