This micro-module offers students an innovative process engineering methodology to learn how to redesign a document-based procedure with the goal of improving and simplifying it. To achieve this, it considers the application of an electronic document management model as well as the governance of the information generated throughout the procedure.
Through both theory and practice, students will learn how to diagram a procedure, identify its actions, determine what documents are generated, and understand which data is entered, displayed, or modified at each step. They will also learn how to create document templates, all aimed at maximizing the efficiency of the process under analysis.
This innovative micro-module will equip you with the tools and techniques needed to rethink and simplify document-based procedures. You will learn to apply an electronic document management model and govern the information generatedthrough a combined theoretical and practical approach.
Why take this course?
- Practical Methodology: Learn how to diagram procedures, identify actions, and efficiently manage documents and data.
- Real-World Examples: Gain insight into successful case studies and leading examples in process engineering.
- Key Competencies: Acquire practical knowledge to actively contribute to process engineering projects.
Course Objectives
- To introduce students to techniques and tools in process engineering alongside document and data management.
