"I've been running the center for many years, and when people ask me about my job, I often feel that what I find most challenging are the interpersonal relationships that come with it. Dealing with the people served by the center is often less difficult than dealing with the colleagues I lead. The dilemma is common: to what extent should I push these relationships so that the work we do is of high quality and meets the needs of the people we work with?."
People management is one of the Achilles' heels of leadership, and one of the factors that generates the most discomfort in the workplace. Through this Evaluation, we will review certain practices and offer new tools for the functional leadership of educational centers, aimed at improving team effectiveness and relational climate.
Coordinating a work team is a complex task. The success of a project depends on an efficient and integrated team, and this requires a leader who feels capable and is equipped to manage it, defining each professional's role within the project and handling the interactions between them.
Team management and institutional leadership are two concepts that go hand in hand, and they are among the most effective strategies for enhancing the functionality and well-being of professionals working in teams.
Reviewing the leadership role in terms of people management, together with colleagues who also hold leadership positions, exponentially increases our ability to reflect on what concerns and occupies us.
Without losing sight of the technical responsibilities that each leader has in their center, we offer a training model focused on preventing the psychosocial risks associated with leadership roles, making the training space itself a space for care and self-care.
