R is a free and open-source program (www.r-project.org) that is increasingly becoming the most widely used statistical package in the field of research and university education, although it is also currently present in the business sector. The fact that it does not have a menu-based environment means that it has a slow learning curve, but once overcome, it becomes an excellent tool for statistical analysis, function programming, and graphical representation of results. The course Introduction to Data Analysis with R has been designed with a practical purpose to learn the basic functioning of R, its syntax, as well as an introduction to basic statistics. The necessary syntax will be provided so that the student can replicate and explore it. Emphasis will be placed on the implementation and interpretation of results in RStudio. To take this course, the participant must use their own laptop.
