Do you want to update your grammatical knowledge and enhance the teaching of grammar through metalinguistic reflection?
This course is aimed at all those teachers who are currently active or in the process of entering pre-university teaching and who teach language subjects, especially Spanish language. The course provides secondary school teachers with the necessary tools to bring a competence-based language teaching-learning approach to the classroom, where the driving force is metalinguistic reflection. For this reason, an important part of the study consists of updating and deepening grammatical knowledge (mainly in Spanish, but not exclusively), as this constitutes the necessary foundation to articulate linguistic reflection. The other fundamental part of the course is to introduce methodologies and learning situations that allow the implementation of this competence-based approach to grammar teaching through classroom reflection, accompanied by examples of good teaching practices and resources to develop competence-based activities of their own authorship.
The linguistic competence of students is one of the pillars of the current educational system. Teaching to reflect on linguistic uses within learning situations undoubtedly favors the development of students' linguistic competence, while allowing the integration of linguistic diversity in the classroom.
