The history of art and critical heritage education are excellent tools to promote transformative education at all educational stages. Art and heritage, as historical documents that respond to different societies and cultures over time, allow us to reflect on the past, understand the present, and question the future. Thanks to the power of visual language, they are ideal for addressing issues such as identities, diversities, and invisible people, groups, and identities.
This micro-credential is aimed at professionals at all educational stages, both in the field of social sciences and other disciplines. In it, we will work on how to facilitate participatory processes of deconstruction and re-signification of the artistic and heritage elements that surround us. We will seek to provide the necessary tools to design and implement critical education proposals through heritage and art history, with practical training including examples and resources suitable for each stage.
The course is designed intensively through synchronous online classes on the afternoons of November 10, 17, 24, and December 1, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
