Master's Degree in Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology is the medical specialty which is responsible for the treatment of eye diseases. In the subspecialty of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, its purpose includes the diagnosis of pediatric ophthalmology disorders and strabismus through several tests. Certain pediatric ophthalmology diseases require the application of a drug, this is the case infectious and inflammatory processes. In other cases they may require surgery.

Given the amount of scientific advances in ophthalmology we believe it necessary training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus customization. For this reason the number of students is limited to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2, so they can make the most of the knowledge of the ophthalmologists involved in the course, especially practical consultation, surgery, collecting documentation for publications and ongoing studies, as well as theoretical attending clinical sessions, and preparing for meetings where they expose issues of interest that have been previously prepared. These works constitute the research required to develop by the student during the course. The master thesis will consist of writing a research paper with scientific methodology
