Specific skills

Learning Outcomes:

KT01: Describe the anatomy of the pelvic floor and the functional aspects in relation to anatomy (concept of functional anatomy)
KT02: Explain the pathophysiology of the different pelvic floor dysfunctions, their causes or risk factors as well as the epidemiological aspects
KT03: Describe the initial approach to pelvic floor dysfunctions (directed anamnesis, urogynecological examination, validated questionnaires)
KT04: Define the methodology regarding imaging tests and functional tests of interest in the diagnosis of pelvic floor pathology
KT05: Organize the different diagnostic and therapeutic strategies regarding each of the pelvic floor dysfunctions specifically
KT06: Explain preventive strategies and conservative treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions
KT07: Define the different surgical techniques and their indications for each of the dysfunctions
KT08: Demonstrate the different diagnostic and therapeutic strategies towards the treatment of chronic pelvic pain and sexual dysfunctions
KT09: Define the statistical bases in scientific research
KT10: Outline the different steps to follow in terms of methodology to develop a research project in the field of pelvic floor pathology
ST01: Apply the diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm to the clinical management of the different pelvic floor dysfunctions
ST02: Develop appropriate strategies in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions from a multidisciplinary perspective
ST03: Demonstrate practical skills towards the methodology of 2D/3D ultrasound specialized in the pelvic floor, differentiating the normal ultrasound from the pathology or anatomical efects diagnosing through 2D/3D ultrasound
ST04: Demonstrate the ability to interpret the different functional tests (urodynamics, manometry) and applying theoretical knowledge to functional results
ST05: Use theoretical-practical knowledge in pelvic floor dysfunctions to solve clinical cases ofroutine clinical practice
ST06: Apply the methodology, statistical analysis, and resources regarding bibliographic research to develop a project in clinical research
CT01: Justify the most appropriate diagnostic strategies in the different pelvic floor dysfunctions
CT02: Justify the most appropriate preventive and therapeutic management in the different pelvic floor dysfunctions
CT03: Integrate specialized pelvic floor ultrasound (2D/3D) in the initial approach to pelvic floor dysfunctions
CT04: Correctly interpret the anatomical-functional information obtained in complementary studies, applying it to clinical advice regarding therapeutic management
CT05: Devise a diagnostic-therapeutic plan based on an integral and multidisciplinary approach
CT06: Explain the surgical treatment alternatives and the possible short and long-term risks/effects
CT07: Validate basic surgical skills regarding pelvic floor pathology
CT08: Defend a critical reading of scientific publications
CT09: Devise research projects in the field of pelvic floor pathology
