The purpose of the postgraduate course in Child and Adolescent in Neuropsychiatry and Psychology is to train professionals in the ambits of Child and Adolescent Mental Health in the prevention, diagnosis and psychiatric and psychological treatment of problems facing children, adolescents and their families.
From a conceptual approach based on "evidence-based medicine", the objective is to carry out theoretical training for the consolidation and expansion of knowledge previously acquired through university-degree study.
An advanced level in updated theoretical knowledge is provided; the course also aims to provide resources for carrying out good professional praxis in the area of knowledge in which the student develops.

Career opportunities
Our aim is to provide our students with academic training and specialisation, improving and enhancing the professional skills they have already acquired, in the various fields of psychiatry and childhood-adolescence psychology.Internships
UAB masters and graduate diplomas may include or facilitate external academic internships in companies or institutions in order to help the student to achieve a level of expertise that facilitates the insertion or promotion in the workplace.
These internships may be curricular (compulsory) or non-curricular (optional).
- Curricular
Curricular practices are those which are included in the curriculum of the studies and, therefore, must be overcome to obtain the degree. The programme manager will explain you the details of how, where and under what conditions you should do the internship.
- Non-curricular
As a UAB student, you have access to the University occupation portal, the Occupability Service, through which you can participate in selection processes for non-curricular practices as well as getting a contract. In both cases, you need to sign up to the Nexus application.
