The UAB organizes an online seminar on cooperation between academic institutions and NGOs.
Within the framework of the European project EDU4SDG’s, on 2 December from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, the UAB will host the online seminar “HEIs-NGOs Cooperation for the SDGs. Insights from UAB and ABDs”, focused on the collaboration between universities and third sector entities to advance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The session will feature the participation of the UAB and the Associació Benestar i Desenvolupament (ABD).
The aim of this series of online seminars is to share good practices, resources and cooperation strategies that strengthen the role of higher education institutions in contributing to the SDGs.
The session will open with a welcome from Myra Ronzoni, Project Manager of the ECIU at the UAB and participant in the EDU4SDG’s project; followed by a presentation of the EDU4SDG project by Dorota Piotrowska, professor at the Lodz University of Technology (Poland). Catarina Alves, Project Manager at the ABD, will then address the role of the third sector in achieving the SDGs and opportunities for collaboration with the university world.
After this technical section, two case studies will be discussed:
- “The UAB and the SDGs”, presented by Daniel Franco, UAB professor
- “The collaboration between the UAB and the ABD”, by Myra Ronzoni
The session will end with a question and answer period and a brief summary of the key points.
