The ECIU launches a web space for alumni and expands learning opportunities for graduates
Recent UAB graduates can maintain their connection with the ECIU thanks to the new alumni website, launched by the European alliance of which the University is a member. The platform centralises the available participation opportunities, which include training activities, free courses for the two years following graduation, and access to an international alumni community. To benefit from these opportunities, you must create an ECIU account linked to your UAB institutional credentials.
The ECIU has launched a new website for alumni that brings together the various participation opportunities available to graduates of the alliance's member universities, including the UAB. The initiative enables them to maintain a connection with the ECIU community beyond their studies and provides access to training activities, learning opportunities, and an international network of contacts.
Alumni members can participate in activities designed to tackle real-world challenges and develop key skills for their professional future within a flexible, international environment. These experiences are complemented by a range of micromodules and other learning opportunities that allow them to expand their knowledge and skills, as well as obtain micro-credentials certifying the competencies they have acquired.
The platform already offers several opportunities specifically for alumni, available through the ECIU's Engage portal.
Two-year free access after graduation
Graduates from ECIU member universities may enrol free of charge in courses open to alumni for a maximum of two calendar years following their graduation. This period is calculated from the date shown on the degree certificate, the graduation certificate, or the European Supplement to the degree issued by the university where the studies were undertaken.
Currently, accessing this offer requires having created an ECIU account while enrolled at a university that is a member of the alliance. Therefore, students who do not yet have an ECIU account are advised to create one before completing their studies.
You can create an account via the account.eciu.eu portal by selecting your home university, logging in with your active institutional credentials, and setting up a Microsoft multi-factor authentication.
An international community connected on LinkedIn
Coinciding with the launch of the new website, the ECIU is also launching the ECIU alumni group on LinkedIn, a community designed for graduates of the alliance's various universities to stay in touch, share opportunities and remain connected to the ECIU community.
The group will serve to share job opportunities, community activities, and training pathways for alumni, with the aim of keeping the connection alive between graduates and the ECIU international ecosystem.
