The UAB has created a new space online where users can find all the videos on the ECIU with Jana Vives, Advertising and Public Relations student at the UAB. The videos aim to help the university community become familiar with the ECIU University. This first season has 6 videos that can be viewed on the UAB's YouTube channel.

Application period for next year's challenges now open!

A few months ago, the UAB asked Advertising and Public Relations student Jana Vives to record a series of videos explaining what the ECIU University was about, the institutions that formed part of the consortium and how to participate in international challenge-based learning experiences. Now these videos can be found on the UAB's YouTube channel, and can also be seen on the UAB's website dedicated to the ECIU.

New Challenges for the New Academic Year

The essence of the ECIU University is a challenge-based approach in which students, lecturers and researchers can work together with businesses and society to solve real-life challenges.

Starting in 2021/22, a total of 15 challenges will be available, with 3 being offered at the UAB. Subjects will cover everything from circular economy to the improvement of transport, passing through the digitalisation of cities and the development of self-sufficient buildings.

In this sense, students will be forming part of international and multidisciplinary teams and work on solving challenges proposed by the institutions that make up the ECIU University.

In order to participate in one of the challenges, all those interested can register with the ECIU University platform and request admission to the programme. They will also need to fulfil the following requirements: be enrolled as a student at one of the 12 member institutions, be in their last year of an undergraduate or in a master's degree, have passed a minimum of 120 ECTS credits, and have a level of English equivalent to B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe. Experience in entrepreneurial work is a plus. Participants willbe able to validate their work on the challenge for up to 6 ECTS credits.

The ECIU University
