Call open for presenting a session for the ECIU University Forum 2026

The ECIU, the European alliance of the UAB, has opened the call for presenting sessions at the ECIU University Forum 2026, which will take place on 16 and 17 June 2026 at the University of Aveiro (Portugal). The deadline for submitting proposals is 22 December 2025.

The ECIU University Forum is the annual event that brings together the entire ECIU community to exchange ideas, share experiences and build together the future of learning and innovation. The 2026 edition focuses on the theme “Futuremakers: Educating for Impact” with the aim of exploring how education can generate real impact on society.

The call is aimed at students, Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), Technical, Management, and Administration and Services Staff (PTGAS) and external agents who are interested in educational innovation, challenge-based learning or projects with social impact and who want to lead a session aligned with the forum theme.

The available modalities for presenting a session are the following ones:

  • Panel Discussion: 1 hour with 3-4 participants
  • Lightning Talk: 10-15 minutes per participant
  • Skill training session: 1-2 hours, highly interactive
  • (Net)working session: 1 hour, focused on co-creation

Session proposals must be submitted via the online form by 22 December 2025 and the selection will be confirmed on 20 January 2026.

Those selected to present a session will receive a scholarship to attend in person in Aveiro and participate in the forum.
