Basic skills

  • Show multidisciplinary knowledge and understanding of the basic aspects of security, quality, the environment and social and corporate responsibility, of the applicable legal framework, of organisational and managerial aspects, and of technological systems and statistical and IT resources in accordance with the requirements for management in the prevention and security sector.
  • To apply creatively and originally the knowledge acquired in all areas that imply the management of security in organisations and the community from a preventative and integral point of view, in order for resources to be managed effectively.
  • Integrate and systemise relevant data in the areas of security, the environment, quality and social and corporate responsibility, and synthesise interpretations in order to be able to assess situations and also reflect upon social, scientific or ethical aspects in order to be able to calculate the available resources.
  • Expose both orally and in writing in more than two languages and in a systemised fashion, information on the sector for both specialised and non specialised audiences and propose, on both levels, problems and solutions.
  • To develop abilities, learning skills and study techniques to be able to deal with later learning processes in an autonomous fashion. Be able to take higher studies of a specialised nature, whether professional or research.

Specific skills

  • Identify, acquire and maintain the proper resources for responding to the tactical and operative needs that are inherent to the management of security, the environment, quality and social and corporate responsibility.
  • Apply applicable regulations in the sector to the management of prevention and security.
  • Plan and coordinate the resources pertaining to the three main subsystems that interact in the sector: people, technology and infrastructures.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans and mechanisms for guaranteeing contingencies; compare security models and their resources both in the modern world and throughout history.
  • Implement, manage and supervise plans for preventing risks in the workplace, and also design security and civil protection plans by applying preventative criteria.
  • Describe the historical evolution of the different security models and analyse the differences between different security models in the light of the historical context.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the basics of mathematics, finance and economics, applicable law, IT and the communication systems required to understand, develop and evaluate prevention and integral security management processes.
