Panta Food Technology Service (SPTA)
The Panta Food Technology Service (SPTA) provides consultancy, technical assistance and training to the scientific and business community in the field of food processing R&D&I, as well as support for the completion of regulated teaching placements using the Pilot Plant's food processing equipment and facilities.
Services
- Development of food products using standard and/or modified processes and formulations for their study and improvement (asymptotic packaging available).
- Detection of defects, modification, adjustment and improvement of food processes.
- Production of small batches of food products for consumer trials and shelf-life studies.
- Assessment of new technologies in food processing and preservation.
- Study and application of cross-cutting technologies (foods, emulsions, solutions, ingredients, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, packaging, new materials, energy efficiency...).
- Cross-cutting processes (pasteurisation, UHT sterilisation, autoclaving, homogenisations, UHPH, high hydrostatic pressure (HHP), UVC light on surfaces and in liquids with continuous-flow reactors, freezing with liquid N¿, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), etc.).
- Advice on food processes, treatment conditions, facility suitability and experimental design in R&D&I.
- Hire of equipment, spaces and facilities with or without technicians (depending on user training and equipment).
- Bespoke training for technical staff (production, quality, R&D, regulations, etc.) in food tech and processes.
