The company has been recognised by ACCIÓ with the Catalonia Exponential Leaders Award, which recognises companies with the capacity for disruptive innovation and transformative impact.
Nanoligent has been recognised by ACCIÓ as one of the ten most disruptive companies in Catalonia for 2026. The company received the Catalonia Exponential Leaders distinction at the eighth Exponential Day, the Department of Business and Labour's leading open innovation event.
This award recognises emerging and established companies with the capacity to transform their sectors through innovation. The jury assessed aspects such as the ability to generate a positive societal impact beyond the business itself, a differentiated value proposition, corporate culture, potential for exponential growth and incorporation of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and biotechnology.
Nanoligent, a spin-off of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Research Institute of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, develops targeted therapies for treating aggressive and metastatic tumours. The company uses a biotechnology platform designed to treat various types of highly aggressive and metastatic CXCR4+ tumours, applying protein engineering and nanobiotechnology to develop new precision therapies.
This recognition highlights the UAB research environment's capacity for knowledge transfer and its impact on strategic sectors such as health and life sciences.
