Three UAB entrepreneurs' projects shortlisted for the Cafè Aventura Award

The projects BIOPOLYMERS, BrainMapp and Urbanity ECAI, driven by entrepreneurs from the UAB, have passed the pre-selection phase and are finalists for the Cafè Aventura Award in the Best Project (idea) category. On 27 November they will defend their elevator pitch before the jury and the attending public.

The 13th edition of the Cafè Aventura Award has selected as finalists in the Best Project (idea) category the projects BIOPOLYMERS, BrainMapp and Urbanity ECAI, led by UAB entrepreneurs. As part of this recognition, the three teams will present their elevator pitch during the event on 27 November, where they will showcase their business model and the growth potential of their proposals.

The session will take place at the Can Roqueta Industrial Business Centre (Sabadell) and is open to all those interested in discovering new business projects and supporting entrepreneurship linked to the UAB. Anyone who wishes may attend as part of the audience and follow the presentations live.

Cafè Aventura is the Sabadell Entrepreneurship Forum, a flagship event that brings together entrepreneurs, companies, investors and support organisations for entrepreneurship, and especially promotes innovative, technology-based projects through prizes, mentoring and networking opportunities.

“The Entrepreneur’s Corner”, at the School of Engineering 

That same morning, after the Cafè Aventura awards ceremony, the UAB School of Engineering will host a new “El Racó de l’Emprenedor” (“The Entrepreneur’s Corner”) session focused on the Haddock case, a restaurant management software startup created by two UAB alumni.

The activity, which will take place in the lobby of the School of Engineering from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., will offer an insight into the technological and business challenges of the project and is aimed especially at students and alumni.
