The 'Social and Collaborative Entrepreneurship Course' returns, with recognition of 1 ECTS credit
New Entrepreneurship course led by expert Montse Lamata López, to discover how to start a social and collaborative economy project. This activity is organized by UAB and the Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia. It will be held every Thursday in March, in the morning schedule, at the Emprèn UAB space, in Plaça Cívica. Registrations are open.
The UAB offers this course again, where students learn, through success stories and examples of good practices, the steps to follow to undertake a social project using tools and elements of a collaborative platform. The sessions focus both on generating the idea and on the skills and competencies needed (leadership and creativity, among others) for the initial development of the project.
The course will be taught by Montse Lamata López, a psychologist and expert consultant in collective leadership and social economy, with more than fifteen years of experience and teaching career at the Federation of Work Cooperatives of Catalonia.

- Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Social entrepreneurship and cooperativism: how to undertake with purpose and discover cooperativism as a transformative model.
- Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Collective leadership: tools to foster collaboration, trust and shared management in teams.
- Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Creativity and social innovation: idea generation techniques and application of Design Thinking to real challenges.
- Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Entrepreneur's Corner: final space for meeting, exchange and guidance for projects.
Academic information
- Modality: Presential.
- Prize: 25 euros.
- Total hours: 25 hours (12 hours of teaching and 13 hours for the development of an essay based on an idea about collaborative economy that will be delivered at the end of the course at empren.info@uab.cat).
- ECTS credits: 1 ECTS credits in academic recognition activities (for Degrees).
- Certification: to pass the course it is mandatory to attend the 80% of the sessions. After the course has ended, you will recieve via e-mail a certificate that you will have to present at Academic Management of your corresponding Faculty or School in order to validate the ECTS credit.

The Social and Collaborative Entrepreneurship Course is an initiative of the Entrepreneurship Unit of the UAB Employability Service, in collaboration with the Federation of Worker Cooperatives of Catalonia, and is designed to provide UAB students with transversal skills that improve their employability and make them more competitive in the professional world.
