The UAB is organizing this individual pitching contest for students, in which each participant has 90 seconds to give an oral presentation of their entrepreneurial idea or project. Registration is open until 1 December and the final will be held on 11 December.

Emprèn Pitch

A pitch is a concise verbal presentation of an idea or entrepreneurial project and is a widely used technique in the business world, where communication skills play a decisive role. To take part in “Emprèn Pitch” you must be a UAB student and record a video of up to one and a half minutes explaining your own idea or project.

Once done, you must register as a participant in the NEXUS app:

The registration deadline is 1 December at 15:00.

A professional jury will select the 20 best videos. These 20 selected people will take part in the final, which will be held on 11 December at 13:00 at the Emprèn UAB space (Plaça Cívica). Each will again have only 90 seconds to deliver their pitch, this time in person in front of the jury and the competitors. The jury will choose the three best presentations, which will be awarded a Waynabox surprise trip to a European city, valued at 250 euros.

The factors assessed in each entry will include the presentation itself, the originality and degree of innovation of the idea, its potential social impact, and its viability, among others. The jury will include a representative from the company Waynabox, one from the Employability Service, one from the Faculty of Economics and Business, and one from the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
