On June 6th, Dr. Felicity Hand delivered an open lecture in room 114 entitled Reading the Body in Indian Crime Writing. From the Ramayan to Aunt Lalli as her last class before retirement.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona conferred an honorary degree to Professor Monica Heller from the University of Toronto  on February 28, 2023. The proposal was put forth by the Department of English and German Philology and it was supported by the Facultat de Filosofia i LLetres, the Facultat de Traducció i Interpretació and the Facultat de Ciències de l'Educació and defended by Professor Melissa G. Moyer.

From April 11th to April 14th, Dr. Jolanta Sinkuniene will be giving a series of seminars for MA students in the field of Applied Linguistics at the English Department (Faculty of Arts and Humanities), as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Exchange programme. 

The Departament of English and German Studies begins the process to elect a new management team.

Visiting Erasmus lecturer, Dr Naz Bulamur, will be giving sessions on in C19 literature on the BA and MA programmes.
