COMuniCA’T: External Internship Day

On 13 May at 12 p.m., the Faculty of Communication Sciences will hold the 1st Internship Day, an event in which several companies collaborating with the UAB will explain what the experience of doing internships in their organizations is like. In this way, students will be able to know first-hand the companies they can choose during their stays. Don't miss it!

The following is the program of the event:

• Welcome of the Dean of the Faculty

Welcome of the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Juan José Perona, and talk on “New professional opportunities in Communication” by Miquel Sañas Alier, Senior Manager at Deloitte Digital.

TIME: 12 – 12:45 h

PLACE: Aula Magna

• Fair of companies and entities

Fair of companies and entities with which we have internship agreements. They will be able to explain the profile of the scholarship holder they need, the tasks you will carry out in their companies or entities and other interesting information about your curricular internship stay.

TIME: 12:45 – 14:30 h

PLACE: First floor hallway of the Faculty

• Professional workshop: “From the academic to the labor world: it stands out from the first minute”

A training to learn to present yourself safely and in style: you will discover how to explain who you are, what you contribute and what makes you unique in just a few seconds. You will practice your elevator pitch and self-candidate techniques so that your message reaches companies clearly, directly and with impact.

Trainer: The alarm clock. The alarm clock is an entity that offers guidance, team management and emotional well-being services to people and organizations.

Knowing how to sell is important. But it is equally or more important to know how to sell oneself. In this Portfolio Workshop we will try to find out what is the best way to sell the best product of your life: you. The workshop aims to guide, provide criteria and teach successful practical cases, which can help to develop a good professional portfolio in the field of communication.

Trainer:  Pep Colomer, freelance Creative Director and professor of creativity at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the UAB.
