“Platform Economic & Policy. Key Concepts, Debates and Current Challenges”

On April 28, a conference will take place at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, aimed at postgraduate students (Masters and Doctorates), given by Tom Evens, professor at the University of Ghent.

Tom Evens is a professor of media industries at the University of Ghent (Belgium). His research focuses on the media industries, platforms, streaming media, sports media rights, digital radio and technology policy. He has published extensively in academic journals and is also (co)author and editor of six books.

The conference focuses on:

• Foundations of platform economy
• Current political debates in Europe
• Regulatory and emerging market challenges

The conference will take place in the Sala de Graus at 12 am.
