Publicació i presentació del nou estudi de Pablo Acosta sobre Juana de la Cruz
El membre de l'IEM, Pablo Acosta, acaba de publicar un estudi a l'editorial Brill sobre l'obra de predicació de Sor Juana de la Cruz: The Visionary Preaching of Juana de la Cruz (1481-1534): Ritual, Revelation and Collective Writing que es presentarà el propert proper dimarts, 11 de novembre a l'Auditori del Museu Tàpies.
Segons diu el text promocional de l'editorial, “A devout community of Franciscan women in sixteenth-century Castile preserved the public preaching of their visionary abbess, Juana de la Cruz (1481-1534), through writing. This groundbreaking book uncovers how Juana de la Cruz´ sermons were recorded, explores the materiality of the surviving codices, and reveals their role in the controversial censorship and blocking of Juana’s canonization. El llibre es presentarà a l'Auditori del Museu Tàpies aquest proper dimarts, 11 de novembre, on l'autor dialogarà amb Victòria Cirlot.
