El projecte PID2025-170062NB-C43
Memristive technologies are among the most promising candidates for next-generationcomputing, enabling applications ranging from non-volatile memories to neuromorphic processorsand AI hardware accelerators. However, despite remarkable progress in device fabrication, onefundamental component is still difficult to achieve: a mature Process Design Kit (PDK) that allowscircuit designers to seamlessly integrate memristive devices into standard industrial ElectronicDesign Automation (EDA) workflows. This project aims to address that challenge by developingan open PDKs specifically designed for the memristive technologies developed at the IMB-CNM,bridging the gap between emerging nanoelectronic devices and practical integrated circuit design.
The successful candidate will contribute to creating compact device models, Verilog-Aimplementations, parameter extraction methodologies, simulation libraries, and complete designflows compatible with professional EDA environments. The resulting framework will enableresearchers and circuit designers worldwide to develop analog, mixed-signal, memory, andneuromorphic integrated circuits based on memristive technologies.
