This postgraduate training proposal is born from the need to cover the high demand for nursing professionals with specific knowledge in the Intensive Care services of hospital centers.
This specialization diploma trains students in comprehensive nursing care for patients in critical condition and aims to provide up-to-date knowledge to properly use the technology specific to Intensive Care services, placing the critical patient at the center of the whole process.
The program is developed through specialist theoretical exhibitions, simulation workshops, low, medium and high fidelity in the EUIT simulation facilities and clinical practices in which the student is integrated into a multidisciplinary team in the Terrassa Mutual University Hospital and the Terrassa Health Consortium, in the morning, afternoon or night, in order to be able to combine academic training with working life.
- Be part of end-of-life care teams in: hospitalization units, external consultations, primary care and home care.
- Accompanying people in a situation of illness and end of life and their relatives with the development of socio-emotional skills specific to this area.
- Promote the role of the nurse in the care and follow-up of the person at the end of life and their family.
- Train nurses in self-care strategies for effective coping when accompanying people at the end of life and their relatives.
