The production styles, the types of professionals and the forms of dissemination of film production are changing, as well as the production systems for film and television. Production companies and producers (executives, delegates, associates, co-producers) are seeking new positions with television, markets, institutions and new technologies.

The working instruments of the producers to analyze the projects, finance them, manufacture them and sell them, which simultaneously make the film, those who have made it and the promoting companies grow, are increasingly more elaborate. There is already beginning to be a theoretical body with which to produce, disciplines and instruments worth apprehending.

The product lines (author, general public, saga, interactivity, series, video games) and territories are outlined with practice and their choice determines the future viability of the production companies. Taxation is incorporated into financing. The West, audiovisually speaking, continues to oscillate between saturation and innovation. Intelligent content overcomes obstacles and lasts.

The new proposal for a Master's Degree in Permanent Training in Film Production and Distribution (MPDC) originates from an old project experimented for the first time at UPF (with the collaboration of IDEC, now Business School of Management) in the 2011-12 academic year. . The study program has gone through a five-year period of fine-tuning at the UVIC (2015-20) and is finally presented in its new mature and refined edition in the academic environment of the UAB.

The Master aims to master the instruments that allow the production of optimal films (from any discipline) and the development of producers towards viable "styles". The active professionals in the sector, who explain their real cases, will allow new professionals to launch their own production line or become part of the organizational chart of an existing production or distribution company. We present a solid teaching program defended by more than fifty professionals from the film industry in Catalonia, Spain and Europe, with some ties to Latin America, under the direction of Paco Poch, Doctor in Audiovisual Communication and with a career of more than 40 years in the independent film production and distribution, and Ludovico Longhi, doctor and lecturer at the Department of Communication and Advertising of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Considering the current panorama of the audiovisual industry, it is evident that the productive dynamics are facing an unstoppable transformation. Consequently, all operators active in this field must develop a series of competencies where mutable strategies of communication, financing, promotion and identification of possible exploitation windows are foreseen. In this sense, the Master of Permanent Training in Film Production and Distribution provides its students with more specific, dynamic and exhaustive information in the different phases: from conceptual planning to executive production and distribution.

With the intention of promoting the job placement of its students, the Master in Film Production and Distribution renews and adapts its teaching plan based on changes in the industry and labor market, and connects students with collaborating companies through their incorporation in practices, respecting and attending to the profiles and interests of both parties.

Some of the companies with which the master's management maintains a relationship and that can host interns are: Diagonal Televisió, Broadcast TV BAS, Lemming Films, Messidor/impossible Films, Cineworx (Pascal Traechslin), Eddie Saeta, Cornelius Films, Venice Production Bridge, Epc Ace, Nostromo, Arcadia-Massa d'Or, Filmin, Mediapro, Zoom Festival TV, Coin Films (Herbert Schwering), MACT Films, Nanouk Films, Surtsey, Filmscoopy (Felix Hachler), Amour Fou, Mallerich Films, Set Màgic, Cutting and Making of films, Toned Media, Cinètica Tv, Mosaic films, Idéale Audienc
