IX Photo contest: Your exchange experience.
La Marxa. by Albert Pahissa, is the winner of the Jury prize.
The Tandem programme offers you the opportunity to practise different languages and get to know other cultures. The programme is a great chance to practise languages and, at the same time, help other people practise the language they want to improve or learn.
In addition, we organize other language-related activities, such as conversation groups or watching films in their original version, with subtitles in the same language (teachers from the Servei de Llengües collaborate in this activity).
The activites of the Tandem programme
The activities of the Tandem programme will restart on Wednesday 8th February 2017.
The activities are a space for conversation practice with your partners. The main goal is to offer a dynamic activity and, at the same time, make everyone feel comfortable. So don't be shy and seize this great opportunity to meet new people from other countries and learn their language.
In the second term of the year 2016/2017, we continue to offer you 3 different dates every week to meet and practise languages together. There you will be able to find a Tandem partner and to meet students from the UAB. Check the schedule below:
- Every Wednesday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. We’ll meet in the Sala d’Actes of l’Àgora building (near the UAB Cinema).
- Every Thursday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Room 104. Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.
- Every Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Seminar 4b (Module IV). Faculty of Education.
You can attend as many meetings as you like. Depending on the number of people attending the sessions, we’ll organize different language groups. If you want more information about the activities of the Tandem programme, please send an email to: email@example.com
In the second term, we will be offering a new course: “Introduction to Theatrical Performance in English”. This course is an introduction to Theatre Arts in an easy and funny way, and the lessons, the scripts and all the learning materials used in the course are written in English.
This activity is run in collaboration with the Cultura en Viu department. In this website you will find further information and the application form.
To sign up, go to the Tandem website, create your user profile and find a language partner. Your UAB student number (NIU) will give you access to all the contents in the website.
The Tandem programme is run jointly by the UAB Language Service and the Community Involvement Unit.
