The UAB offers a range of linguistic resources and tools that will prove useful for teaching and research. Some good examples: Argumenta. Multimedia materials for autonomous learning that help to acquire linguistic and communicative skills in academic and other professional contexts. The Multilingual Advantage (L'Actiu Plurilingüe). A website devoted to raising awareness about linguistic issues, aimed at teaching staff who promote multilingualism within the university without neglecting their own language. It makes use of videos grouped under the headings of Teaching, on one hand, and Research, on the other. "HowtoCommunicate" (ComComunicar). A resource to help university teachers with the assessment of students' oral presentations. Edit & Present. Support for anyone who will shortly be using English to present a paper, give a talk, or take part in a debate. Online Self-Access Language-Learning Centre (CAL). The CAL takes a selection of the best resources on the web, chosen by expert instructors from the Language Service, and places them at the disposal of language learners. Help me (Ajuda'm). This linguistic and cultural acclimatisation programme provides activities, tools and resources to make sure you get the best out of your stay at our university.
