UAB teaching and research staff can take the Catalan courses that the Language Service (Servei de Llengües) offers to those who come from outside the Catalan-speaking area. In the case of these staff: - The Català de supervivencia (for Romance Language students) and Survival Catalan courses are free of charge. - Courses at other levels (Basic Level, Elementary, Intermediate, Sufficiency, and Higher) are partially subsidised. - There is a course specifically aimed at preparing for the Test of Sufficiency for teaching and research staff.
