Minor in Professional English

Pre-registration form (available on 4 June 2012)

What is a Minor?
A Minor is a university specialisation offered by a UAB centre and addressed to undergraduate students. If the total amount of credits specified in the study plan are completed, the Minor will be included in the European Diploma Supplement (DS).
The credits taken in the Minor form part of the total of credits necessary to obtain the undergraduate degree and will count as free-choice credits for their degree.

Specific Objectives
The objective of the Minor in Professional English is to contribute to training professionals in the language skills needed to carry out tasks in different professional environments in which English is the communication language, both at individual and company level. These tasks can be carried out in different professional areas (commercial, academic, administrative, etc.).
The Minor was designed as a practical response for the need of future graduates entering the international labour market.
Given this perspective, the contents of the Minor are clearly aimed at providing functional skills.
