Introduction

The main aim of the Degree in Philosophy is to train students in critical and rational thought, which is the kind of knowledge that characterises philosophy par excellence, and which only philosophy can provide on a global level. Therefore, the curriculum includes skills related to the integral training of the student with others such as the capacity for comprehensive reading of philosophy texts, the critical analysis of ideas, the discovery of tacit presuppositions in all types of discourse, the construction of convincing arguments and clear and persuasive argumentation.

The Degree in Philosophy offers in-depth knowledge of our rich philosophical culture and prepares you to transmit that knowledge to subsequent generations and to apply philosophical knowledge to the problems of the modern society of knowledge.

The degree includes two specialised training itineraries: Fundamental Philosophy and Applied Philosophy. This approach has led to innovations in the University's current philosophy courses.
