In order to ensure greater transfer of knowledge from the university to society, the UAB, through the UAB Research Park (PRUAB), offers a consultation and support service for the creation of companies.

During the period of time between the setting up of a business and when it is able to operate independently - during the incubation period - UAB treats spin-offs as additional parts of the university environment. The incubation period lasts 3 years, although in a few cases, this period may be extended to 5 years.

We offer our support from the moment the initial idea is presented until the business becomes fully functional. The support offered includes:
- access to legal advice and services
- help with finding and training a management team
- finding all sources of financing: from seed capital to venture capital
- promotion, dissemination and networking
- strategic partnerships

UAB, through the UAB Research Park, helps spin-offs in expanding trade to the rest of Spain and further afield, opening up new business opportunities.

This is why the UAB Research Park belongs to a number of national and international associations working in this field, such as IASP, APTE, XPCAT, Asebio, ICEX, ACC1Ó, Barcelona Activa, etc.
