Mobility survey

The Mobility Management Unit, as a fundamental part of it job to generate information and diagnose the situation of accessibility to the campus, carries out an occasional Mobility Habits Survey with the university community.

The main aim is to obtain information about mobility: where do users come from, what are their characteristics, perceptions and needs, what form of transport do they use, what kind of fares, how long do they take, what do they think of the options, etc.

The Mobility Habits Survey for the university community in 2011 is the sixth of its kind since it was started in 2001.

Main results:

Public transport is the main method of transport used to get to the UAB (56,7%) followed by private transport (36,9%) and non-motorised methods (6,4%).

Average journey time to get to the UAB is 47,2 minutes.

The index of car occupation is 1.11 people per vehicle.

FGC is the most highly valued method of transport with 7,08/10.

50,1% of the university community has use of a vehicle to get to the UAB.
