Work permit for Students from outside the European Union


 Please note: as a result of organisational changes with respect to work permits, before you start any procedure please contact the International Welcome Point.

We inform you that we will not present work permit applications between 25th of July and 1st of September, 2011.  

Non-EU students who wish to work in Spain and have an offer of employement may apply for a work permit, the procedure for which is outlined in Royal DecreeRD 2393/2004, of 30 December 2004 and also on the website of the Catalan Employment Service (SOC):

This permit only allows you to do part-time paid employment  - or full-time for a maximum of three months, as long as these hours are compatible with your academic timetable. The permit expires at the end of the employment contract and/or on expiry of your NIE (Foreign resident identification card), although tis renewable.
