European Union programmes promoting mobility and cooperation with the rest of the world


ERASMUS MUNDUS
For non-EU citizens who have not worked or studied in the EU for a period of more than 12 months over the past five years. There are scholarships for graduates to take a European Union master's degrees and for scholars to spend shorter periods (on average, three months) for teaching or scholarly assignments related to European Union master's degrees.

MARIE CURIE ACTIONS
Various scholarships to promote research through knowledge transfer, exchange of researchers and training in research, as well as scholarships to attract top-class researchers to the European Union.

FORD FOUNDATION
The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) provides opportunities for advanced study to exceptional individuals who will use this education to become leaders in their respective fields, furthering development in their own countries and greater economic and social justice worldwide. To ensure that Fellows are drawn from diverse backgrounds, IFP actively seeks candidates from social groups and communities that lack systematic access to higher education.
